5 K-dramas Where Nam Dareum Played 'The Young' Version of the Male Leads You Should Watch!

 

It's very common in Korean dramas to have flash backs as a part of its charm, and you might have seen Nam Dareum in one. Most of his roles are the 'young' counterpart of the main male lead and he did the part flawlessly! Must be the reason why he's been casted multiple times.

Here are five of the K-dramas you might want to watch with him on it - if you haven't yet!

BOYS OVER FLOWER (2009)

Yep! He's a part of this hugely successful Korean drama. It was aired in 2009 and it's still one of the most well-known Korean drama up to date. He played the young Yoon Jihoo that is played by Kim Hyunjoong. 

He was around 7 or 8 years old around the time that Boys Over Flowers was aired.

PINOCCHIO (2014)

Five years after his first stint, Nam Dareum also became a part of another hit series titled Pinocchio with Lee Jongsuk and Park Shinhye. 

He played as the young Choi Dal-po/Ki Ha-myung who is Lee Jongsuk's character in the drama.

By this time, his acting flourished a lot. He is about 13 years old when the drama aired. 

He even won the Best Young Actor Award at the APAN Star Awards in 2015.

WHILE YOU WERE SLEEPING (2017)

While You Were Sleeping is another drama that Lee Jongsuk topbilled, and since there are flashbacks as a part of the plot and overall story, who do you think is going to be the best fit as the young Jung Jaechan played by Lee Jongsuk? Of course, its non other than Nam Dareum! 

By this time, he's grown a lot, sporting a blonde hairstyle in the drama.

He is nomiated at SBS Drama Awards under the Youth Acting Award category.

WHERE STARS LAND (2018)

Nam Dareum is on the role! A year after While You Were Sleeping was aired, he also became a part of WHERE STARS LAND as the young version of Lee Sooyeon played by the actor Lee Jehoon. There's really no stopping him at this time!

START-UP (2020)

Portraying the young counterpart of the residential Good boy in the Start-up series, Nam Dareum's portrayal definitely captured the hearts of the viewers. He played the young Han Jipeong who is Kim Seonho's character as one of the main lead of the drama.
